Writing: Song of Solomon 2:1-17

Psalm: 139

Epistle: I Thessalonians 2:1-20

Gospel: Mark 11:15-19

Collect: Oh Lord, who commanded that the Holy Temple be a house of prayer for all people, and who sent your Son to die once and for all for the forgiveness of our sins, eliminating the need for sacrifice in your temple; guide us through your grace that we being cleansed by the blood of the lamb, would unite with all nations in praying to you and serving your holy name. This we ask through Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in glory everlasting. Amen.

Please note: Monday, 2 October is Yom Kippur. Lessons for Yom Kippur are the following:
Morning:

Prophet: Isaiah 57:14-58:14
Epistle: Romans 3:21-26

Afternoon:
Torah: Leviticus 18
Prophet: Micah 7:18-20
Epistle: Hebrews 9 & 10

If a celebration of the Eucharist is desired, the following Gospel may be used:

Mathew 27:45-54

Colour of the Day: White

Collect of the Day: YHWH Shevaot, ruler of the universe, who established the pattern of sacrifice to remind us that sin must be atoned for in blood. Let the blood of Yeshua so cover us that our past sins would no longer enslave us, and so fill us with the Ruach haKodesh that we would no longer desire to sin. As we hear the shofar blow, may our hearts be moved to seek you and your kingdom forever. This we ask in the name of him who is the true sacrifice for our sins, Yeshua haMoshiach, who lives and reins with you and the Ruach haKodesh, one God in shekinah everlasting. Amen.
